Investiture of Postulant Emily

On the memorial of St. Teresa of Avila, who is our Postulant Emily's confirmation patron saint, Emily will receive the Holy Habit of our Mother St. Clare in a private ceremony following Holy Mass. She will also receive her new religious name, which is given by the Holy Spirit to the heart of Mother Abbess, and remains undisclosed until Emily receives the Holy Habit. With her investiture, Emily becomes the fiancée of Christ, and she begins her novitiate in our community, a time of preparation for First Profession of Vows.
